Working to provide solutions to social justice issues

UACT Receives Grant from CCHD

June 12, 2015

United Action of Connecticut received a $5,000 grant from the Catholic Campaign of Human Development for the Archdiocese of Hartford on June 12, 2015. In addition, CCHD awarded UACT another $5,000 via a Challenge Grant that is geared towards building relationships and organizing in the Central part of the State.

UACT Executive Director, Mark Kosnoff, was ecstatic to receive the news of the challenge grant and praised the office of Catholic Social Justice Ministry for their confidence in UACT’s ability to continue their organizing work in Connecticut.

“This grant has come at just the right time for United Action”, said Kosnoff. “We have been trying to ratchet up our efforts in several local communities and this money will enable us to do exactly what we planned and that is to reach out to new congregations and communities and build a strong coalition to work on social justice issues”.
