<p>United Action of Connecticut (UACT) is <span style="color: #3366ff;">Building A Movement <span style="color: #000000;">to create justice in Healthcare and Immigration.</span></span></p> <p>Do you ever, after reading the paper or listening to the news, think to yourself that things just aren’t fair? Do you feel that the world around you is becoming less just? Do you find yourself saying “why don’t <em><strong>they</strong></em> do something about that?” It is time to stop waiting for <em><strong>them</strong></em> and join a movement that is committed to creating a just society here and now.</p> <p> United Action CT (UACT) is an interfaith, community organization that is “building a movement” to achieve equity and fairness for Connecticut families.</p> <p>The retreat agenda will be both provocative and informative. It includes moving, personal stories, presentations on healthcare and immigration reform, as well as training on how to engage people on a personal level. You will also have the opportunity to frame UACT’s strategy for the coming year. Be part of a movement that is determined to build a better future, you will find it exciting and invigorating. Registration for the retreat begins at 8:30am, admission is free and lunch will be provided. </p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: #3366ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">Join us on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 8:30 am for UACT's annual planning and organizing retreat. The event will be held at the Rev. Monsignor M. Davitt Fox Parish Center at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm St., Middletown CT (located across from the Middletown Post Office on Silver St.). </span></span></p> <p><span style="color: #3366ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">The retreat will feature presentations on Immigration and Healthcare reform, a power analysis on action steps to achieve reform and personal one to one training.
