<h2>You have stood with us before and we need you with us again.</h2> <p>2012 is a high stakes year for action on health care reform. CT could lead the nation in providing new quality, affordable health care choices for people.</p> <h2>What stands in our way?</h2> <p>Big Insurance, like CIGNA. Indecisive legislators. Waiting for D.C. to get health care done. Groups, like CBIA, that profit off the status quo.</p> <h2>What can YOU do?</h2> <p>Help us take back the health care fight on <strong>April 25</strong>. People from across the state will occupy Hartford to tell legislators WE CAN'T WAIT. To register e-mail info@healthcareforevery1.org and for more details see FaceBook or www.healthcare4every1.org.</p> <p>Legislators MUST take action on three big steps toward quality affordable health care for everyone:</p> <ul> <li>add consumer and small business voices to the all-important Health Exchange (the vote is planned for Wednesday)</li> <li>set up a Basic Health program, so health care will be affordable when federal reform takes full effect in January 2014</li> <li>open new ways for small businesses to get affordable health care</li> </ul> <h2>Highlights of the day, include:</h2> <ul> <ul> <li>Special Briefing (lunch included) 12 &ndash; 1:30</li> <li>Health care advocacy at the Capitol 1:30 &ndash; 2:30</li> <li>At 2:30, we will cross the street to protest insurance giant CIGNA's outrageous executive giveaways at their stockholder meeting -- famed CIGNA whistleblower Wendell Potter published an article about it today - <a href="http://www.iwatchnews.org/2012/04/23/8709/analysis-shareholders-raising-ruckus-about-ceo-pay" target="_blank">here</a>.</li> <li>Exciting action at CIGNA shareholders&rsquo; meeting (Bushnell Theatre) 2:30 &ndash; 4:30</li> <li>healthcare4every1 action at the State Capitol 4:30 - 6</li> </ul> </ul> <p><em>Wear your red healthcare4every1 T-shirt (shirts will be provided to those who need one)</em></p> <h2>Time is short. With just 2 weeks left, legislators need to decide whose side they are on:</h2> <ul> <li>with lobbyists and insurance giants like CIGNA that rake in profits and deny needed care?</li> <li>or with families and businesses who have to fight for quality health care we can afford?</li> </ul> <p><strong>On Wednesday, come to Hartford.
