10th Annual UACT Celebration Dinner

<p>United Action of Connecticut will be holding it's 10th Annual Justice Celebration on Wednesday, June 8th at the St. Francis of Assisi Fox Parish Center, 10 Elm St., Middletown CT.</p> <p>The program and dinner begin at 7:00 pm but the doors open at 6:30 pm and refreshments will be provided. Tickets for the celebration dinner are $20.00</p> <p>Each year at the celebration dinner UACT honors someone for their dedication to social justice causes and this year we are recognizing Ana Maria Rivera Forastieri and Alok Bhatt, two individuals who have been the driving force behind CIRA, the Connecticut Immigrants Right's Alliance. CIRA is a coaltion of organizations that have advocated for immigration relief and reform but much of the CIRA time is voluntary and Ana Maria and Alok have continued to make CIRA a group to be reckoned with.</p> <p>In addition. Dr. Mohammed Qureshi, President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Connecticut Chapter, will be our special guest speaker as we emphasize community and what our faith calls us to do in the world.</p> <p>For more information or to reserve tickets please call UACT at 860-595-2284 or e-mail us at uact4change@gmail.com.</p> <p>UACT also does a program/ad book in conjunction with the celebration dinner.
